While you were busy tracking Wimbledon scores, tennis sensation Serena Williams was on the cover of “Harper’s BAZAAR” showing us all what she’s made of without any retouching or photoshop editing. The cover got a lot of attention due to her behind, and Williams chose to pose that way because shw wanted to make an important statement against body-shaming.
“I’ve been shamed for my body”’, she said, “paid less for my gender, punished for expressing my opinions and those are just examples made public. But then I stop to think about the next girl that will look like me, and I hope my voice will help her”.
